you may have noticed that i no longer recopy recipes from other websites, i link to them now. i realized, some of those recipe blogs have adds, or publicity deals, or something, and the more people visit their site, the more money they get. therefore, if i copy the recipe (with credits), then the people who see the recipe here won’t necessarily visit their site, and the bloggers won’t get their money. sure, i don’t have a big readership, but still. i’ll still copy the recipe for myself, as a .txt file on my computer, but as far as this journal is concerned, i will only link to their recipes. you won’t start seeing lists of links appear as entries though. i’ll link to a recipe only when i’ll have made it, which should keep things interesting.

that being said, i won’t be going back over my entries to reflect those changes. at least, not yet. there are just… wayyy too many, and i don’t have the time to do this at the moment. the credits are there, it’ll have to do for now.

as for recipes from magazines or books… i don’t know yet. i might still copy them, with credit. a lot of cooking/baking bloggers do that. then again, just because a lot of people do it doesn’t mean it’s ok as far as copyright protection is concerned.

this recipe database project of mine suddenly sounds less fun. (and no, no one has asked me to take down their recipes, this is my own initiative.)
